Hemp Crusted Chicken Recipe Yum

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup hemp hearts
  • 1/2 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the hemp hearts, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat with the hemp heart mixture, pressing the mixture onto the chicken to ensure it adheres well.
  4. Place the chicken breasts onto a greased baking sheet.
  5. Spray the chicken with cooking spray to help it brown.
  6. Bake the chicken for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the crust is golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve the hemp crusted chicken hot and enjoy!

Optional variations:

  • Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or chili powder to the hemp heart mixture for a spicy kick.
  • Serve the hemp crusted chicken with a side of honey mustard sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
