Baked Apple Oatmeal Yum

What is better to start your day with than a nice, hot bowl of oatmeal. This baked oatmeal is just the thing for a hectic morning because you just have to throw it in the oven when you wake up. Enjoy this oatmeal hot, with a splash of cream, or a bit of sucanat sprinkled on top.
BSF Kitchen Test: 11/23/17
INGREDIENTS (6 servings):
  • 2 cup whole rolled oats 
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 large unpeeled apple, chopped
  • 4 tbsp. sucanat or maple syrup

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Preheat the oven to 400°. Oil a large casserole dish with coconut oil.
    2. Mix together all the ingredients in a large bowl and put in the casserole dish. Bake for 45 minutes and enjoy fresh out of the oven.

      Hey Shelli- it sure could- we have not tried it, but we cannot see why not. You might want to try Organic Toasted Kasha (instead of Raw Buckwheat) as the cook time and flavor will be better we think:
