Garbanzo Beans - Simple Prep Yum

Garbanzo beans are an incredibly nutritious base for your meals!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup garbanzo beans
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • Bay leaf

 INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak garbanzo beans in 3 cups of water for 2-3 hours and then pour into a strainer. Run water over the beans to rinse thoroughly. Soak in another 3 cups of water and salt overnight.
  2. Strain garbanzo beans again and add them to a medium-size pot. Add 2 cups of water and a bay leaf. Bring the pot to high heat and let simmer for 45-55 minutes or until soft,
