Toasted Soybeans Yum

Toasted soybeans are an easy and savory snack! Soybeans are high in protein, iron, and calcium, and can be added to many dishes or just eaten plain. 

BSF Kitchen test: (11/25/2020)

INGREDIENTS (makes 2-3 servings)

  • 1 cup uncooked soybeans
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp chili powder

(adjust seasoning to taste)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak soybeans for 5-6 hours or overnight.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 f and line a baking sheet with wax paper.
  3. Strain soybeans and fully dry them with a towel.
  4. In a medium size bowl, mix together soybeans, salt, oil, and chili powder.
  5. Spread mixture evenly on baking sheet and place in oven for 15-17 minutes, then remove and flip soybeans to get an even roast.
  6. Place back in oven and repeat flipping them every 7 minutes until all soybeans are crunchy. Enjoy!

Oh sounds delicious. I’m gonna soak some of my BSF soybeans tonight . I’ve been boiling in slow heat for few hrs . Mix with salt and hot pepper 🌶… I can’t wait to try this recipe thank you 🙏🏻
