Buckwheat Kasha - Simple Prep Yum

Buckwheat Kasha is a simple, nutrient-rich meal that can be used as a base or eaten by itself. Kasha contains nutrients like magnesium, protein, and fiber that make for a healthy and delicious meal!

BSF Kitchen Test: (1/12/2021)

INGREDIENTS (makes 2 cups)

  • 1 cup buckwheat kasha
  • 1 tbsp organic butter
  • 1 3/4 cup water
  • salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak kasha to remove any pieces that float to the top, then rinse and strain.
  2. Combine Kasha, butter, water, and salt in a saucepan and bring to a light boil
  3. Cover with lid and cook for 18-20 minutes.
  4. Add butter or salt if desired. Enjoy!
