Whole Wheat Cornbread

This cornbread recipe is delicious and warm, a perfect one for fall! Our organic sweet corn is great for grinding into cornmeal, and gives this dish an incredible crisp taste.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup sweet corn
  • 5 tbsp unsalted organic butter (melted)
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda 
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 425° and grease baking pan
  2. Grind sweet corn into medium coarse cornmeal (should make 3/4 cup after grinding)
  3. In separate bowls, whisk dry and wet ingredients well before combining. 
  4. Pour batter into pan and bake in oven for 20-23 minutes. Let cool before serving. Enjoy!
