Steel Cut Oatmeal Yum

This steel cut oatmeal is easy and delicious! Simply change the toppings however you like to mix up breakfast. Steel cut oats are great for heart health and help you stay full and energized.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Blueberries, cinnamon and banana slices to top (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Boil water and milk in saucepan on high heat
  2. Add oats and salt to saucepan and bring to a simmer. Allow to cook for 20 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Take off heat and let sit for 3-5 minutes.
  4. Mix in toppings of choice. Enjoy!
