Vanilla Matcha Latte Yum

A matcha latte is a great way to start your day! Unlike coffee, matcha gives you an energy boost that lasts longer and doesn't end with an energy crash.

INGREDIENTS (makes 1 serving):
  • 3/4 cups water
  • 1 scant tsp matcha 
  • 1 tsp. honey or sucanat
  • 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup cream
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • Cinnamon (optional)

    INSTRUCTIONS

    1. Boil water and pour into a bowl containing matcha.
    2. Whisk briskly for one minute, or until matcha dissolves completely.
    3. Add honey (or sucanat), Matcha, and vanilla and stir until honey melts.
    4. Bring the milk and cream to just under a boil, and froth vigorously for 1 minute.
    5. Pour matcha mixture into a mug, and finish with frothed milk.
    6. Garnish with cinnamon (if desired) and enjoy!
