Two-bean Chili Soup Yum

It's finally that time of the year to curl up in a blanket with a bowl of warm soup. This hearty chili recipe is loaded with nutritious ingredients and will fill you up!


  • 1 1/2 cups cooked black turtle beans
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked dark red kidney beans
  • 2 cups (15oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups (15oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup beef broth 
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper


  1. Add the olive oil, minced garlic, and diced onion to a large pot and set to medium high heat. Saute for about 4 minutes or until onion is tender and fragrant. Then add the ground beef and brown. 
  2. Next, add the beans, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce to the pot and stir until combined. Add broth and all the spices to the pot and stir.
  3. Bring pot to a boil, then cover and reduce heat to simmer. Let cook for about 15-25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Enjoy!
