Chia Lemonade Yum

Chia lemonade is a must-try recipe for the summer! Soaking chia seeds causes it to "bloom" or expand into a softer substance making it great to add to drinks for extra nutrition.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup golden agave syrup
  • 5 cups lukewarm water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Soak chia seeds in 1 cup of water for 1-2 hours or overnight.
  2. Mix together lemon juice and agave into the water, stirring well.
  3. Chill lemonade in fridge for about 30 minutes before adding chia seeds (don't strain chia seeds before adding)
  4. Mix together and leave to chill in the fridge for 1 hour
