Stovetop Rice Yum

Fluffy and flavorful, this rice is the perfect base for beans or even beef bourguignon. It is deliciously flavorful and light and is a much healthier alternative to pasta. It tastes divine simply topped with olive oil and coarse sea salt.

INGREDIENTS (makes 2 cups):
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Boil the water, salt, and butter in a medium-sized pot. Add the rice and bring back to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 25-30 more minutes, or until the rice is tender.
  3. Remove from heat, and leave in the pot with the cover on for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve hot after fluffing with a fork.
